What is FSSAI Central License?

The Food Standards and Safety Authority of India (FSSAI) is the supreme authority that is responsible for monitoring and supervising food safety. It is compulsory for all the Food Business Operators (FBOs) in order to obtain an FSSAI license or Food Licenses. A basic confusion or a misunderstanding that is among the FBOs is the license which the businessman is required to obtain. FSSAI sets down science-based standards for the articles of food and it also improves their manufacture, distribution, storage, sale, and import to ensure the availability of reliable and also wholesome food to 130 crore citizens of our country. Three Different Types of FSSAI Food License 

Basic Registration : The Food business operators like petty food manufacturers and including the small-sized manufacturers, storage units, transporters, retailers, marketers, publishers, etc are thus needed to obtain the FSSAI Registration. The FSSAI Registration is however declared by our State Government. Depending upon the ability, an FBO can thus fall under the State of Registration license.

State License : Food business operators like little to medium-sized companies, storage units, transporters, retailers, marketers, distributors etc. are however needed to obtain the Fssai State License. The State License is issued by the State Government and you must have operations in only 1 state like Delhi, to obtain the State FSSAI License in Delhi.

Central License : Food business operators such because the  Importers, 100% Export Oriented Systems, big manufacturers, operators in the  Central Government agencies, seaports, terminals, etc are however needed to receive a Central Food License.

Important Points

·         The most important thing about the FSSAI License, if it takes more extended than 60 days, the candidate can start without the license without waiting for additional processing.

·         Thus FSSAI license is required for each activity linking to the manufacture, process, storage, packaging, and distribution of food.

·         FSSAI License or Restaurant License is a legal service that is required for every Food Business Operators

·         The Name described in the application form (P or Q) will be the name on the Food License Certificate. So make sure it is clearly and perfectly spelled.

·         You will receive all further information on the mobile number and e-mail ID supplied in the Application Form.

·         After applying, a different reference ID will be generated. This ID will be used during all further information and processes for receiving the FSSAI certificate.

·         If the services of the FBO, e.g. a restaurant or hotel, expand to more than one state, a Central FSSAI license has to be obtained for the main Branch/Head Office. And a State License or Basic Registration for each branch, as per their ability.
